Shoyu Ramen
Ramen originated in China, where noodles served in hot broths have been part of the diet for millennia. They were popular dishes among workers, and each region had its style. In the late 19th century, Chinese immigrants brought this tradition to Japan, where the dish was adapted with local ingredients like shoyu and miso. In 1910, Tokyo opened its first specialized restaurant, and from then on, ramen became a national phenomenon, gaining variations in every corner of Japan and later the world.
